Shining a light on transplant pain: new device aims to stop mouth sores before they start
NCT ID NCT05335434
Summary
This study is testing if a special LED light device, used inside the mouth, can prevent painful mouth sores in patients undergoing a stem cell transplant. About 20 adult patients will use the 'LED Lollipop' device daily during their transplant treatment. The goal is to see if this light therapy reduces the severity and duration of these common and painful side effects.
