Shining a light on Kids' cancer pain: new hope for mouth sores

NCT ID NCT07372443

Summary

This study aims to see if a gentle, non-invasive light therapy can help prevent and treat painful mouth sores in children undergoing cancer treatment. It will compare the light therapy to a standard gel in 49 children aged 4-17 with leukemia, lymphoma, or head/neck tumors. The goal is to reduce the severity, pain, and duration of these sores to improve comfort and quality of life during treatment.
