Shining a light on painful mouth disease

Summary
This study is testing whether a special red light therapy can safely reduce painful mouth sores caused by chronic Graft-Versus-Host Disease (GVHD). It will involve 44 patients who have had a stem cell transplant and still have mouth sores despite previous treatments. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the real light therapy or a placebo treatment to see which is more effective.
