Shining a light on IUD pain: new study tests gentle therapy

NCT ID NCT06984796

Summary

This study aims to see if a painless light treatment, called photobiomodulation, can reduce discomfort when getting a copper IUD inserted. Researchers will compare real light therapy to a simulated treatment in 72 women. The main goal is to measure if the light helps lower pain during and after the procedure.
