Summary
This study tests a new way to treat gum disease (periodontitis) using a light-activated dye delivered in tiny biodegradable particles. The goal is to see if this method kills hidden bacteria better than the dye alone. About 27 adults with advanced gum disease will receive standard deep cleaning plus either the new light treatment or the dye alone, and their gum health will be tracked for 6 months.
