Shining light on the aging brain: can a helmet boost blood flow and memory?

NCT ID NCT07209683

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive light therapy helmet can improve how the brain regulates blood flow during thinking tasks and if this helps memory and thinking skills in older adults. Researchers will compare the real light treatment to a fake one in 30 participants over 4 weeks. The main goal is to understand how the therapy works by measuring brain activity, blood flow, and taking blood samples, rather than providing a direct treatment benefit.
