Can a daily dose of bright light lift the fog of bipolar depression?

NCT ID NCT05357313

Summary

This study is testing whether adding daily bright light therapy to standard medication helps people with bipolar depression who naturally prefer evenings ('night owls'). Over six weeks, 70 participants will use either a real bright light device or a placebo device for 30 minutes daily at midday. Researchers will measure changes in depression and sleep problems to see if the light therapy makes a difference.
