Helmet of light: new hope for slowing Alzheimer's?

NCT ID NCT03672474

Summary

This study tested a non-invasive medical device that uses low-level light and magnetic fields, delivered through a helmet and abdominal panel, to see if it could help people with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease. The goal was to see if this light therapy could slow the decline in memory and thinking skills. The trial was a small, early-stage study that compared the active device to a sham (fake) device in 64 participants over three months.
