First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tests a light therapy that shines a special light on the forehead to see if it can help memory and thinking in people with early Alzheimer's or mild cognitive impairment. About 196 older adults (ages 65-85) will receive either the real light treatment or a fake one for 8 weeks. The goal is to find out if this safe, non-invasive approach can ease symptoms and improve brain function.
