First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looked at whether lifestyle programs can help overweight or obese pregnant women control weight gain during pregnancy and improve health for both mom and baby. 123 women receiving care at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center took part. Some joined a weekly group program focusing on diet and activity, while others received extra health information. The goal was to see if these approaches could reduce risks like gestational diabetes and support healthier birth outcomes.
