Summary

This study tested whether spraying a local anesthetic (lidocaine) on the cervix could make getting an IUD less painful. It involved 90 women aged 18-45 who were voluntarily getting an IUD. Researchers compared the pain levels of women who received the numbing spray to those who received a placebo spray to see if it was effective.
