New combo aims to ease cancer pain when opioids fail

Summary
This early-stage trial tests whether combining lidocaine and ketamine can reduce severe cancer-related pain that doesn't respond to opioids. About 24 adults with moderate to severe pain will receive two weekly infusions of the drug combo or a placebo. The goal is to see if this approach provides better pain relief.
