Scientists track common painkiller inside brain tumors

NCT ID NCT04716699

Summary

This small, early-stage study measured how much of the common painkiller lidocaine gets into brain tumors during surgery. Researchers took blood and tumor samples from 12 glioblastoma patients to understand how the drug moves through the body and tumor. The goal was to gather basic information that might help design future treatments, not to test a new therapy.
