Could less dialysis mean faster kidney recovery?
NCT ID NCT04218370
Summary
This study aimed to find a better way to help hospitalized patients whose kidneys suddenly stop working and need dialysis. Researchers tested if waiting for specific signs before giving dialysis, instead of automatically scheduling it three times a week, could help more people regain enough kidney function to stop dialysis treatment. They enrolled 220 stable patients to compare these two approaches.
