Modified drug cocktail tested to boost leukemia transplant success
NCT ID NCT03342196
Summary
This study tested a modified three-drug combination given to patients before a stem cell transplant from a partially matched or cord blood donor. The goal was to see if this adjusted regimen could improve survival and reduce severe side effects for people with high-risk blood cancers. Researchers followed 40 patients for one year to measure how many remained cancer-free and how their bodies handled the treatment.
