New drug cocktail tested for Tough-to-Treat blood cancers

NCT ID NCT03132454

Summary

This early-stage study is testing the safety and best dose of a drug called palbociclib, given alone and in combination with other medications, for adults with acute leukemia that has come back or hasn't responded to previous treatments. The main goal is to find out what side effects occur and how much medicine patients can safely take. Researchers also want to see if these drug combinations show any early signs of helping control the leukemia.
