Summary

This study tests a device called AtriLASH that closes a small heart pouch (left atrial appendage) during planned heart surgery in 200 adults with atrial fibrillation. The goal is to reduce stroke risk and possibly allow some patients to stop taking blood thinners long-term. The main check is whether the pouch stays closed 3 months after surgery.
