Computer alerts aim to slash heart attack risk by better cholesterol control

NCT ID NCT05088759

Summary

This study tests whether a computer alert system helps doctors prescribe the right cholesterol medications for patients with heart disease. It involves 400 patients at Brigham and Women's Hospital, with half receiving alerts when their cholesterol is too high and half not. The goal is to see if these reminders lead to better medication use and lower cholesterol levels.
