New scan could spare patients painful skin cancer biopsies
NCT ID NCT07501780
Summary
This study is looking at how well a non-invasive skin imaging tool called LC-OCT works in everyday clinics to diagnose the most common type of skin cancer, basal cell carcinoma. Researchers will review the records of about 300 patients to see if the scan was accurate and if it helped doctors avoid unnecessary biopsies. The goal is to see if this tool can speed up diagnosis and treatment while being less invasive for patients.
