Laser zaps away tough scars and skin hardening

NCT ID NCT04567537

Summary

This study tested whether a laser treatment could improve the look and feel of raised, thick scars and the skin condition scleroderma. Researchers planned to treat 20 adults with these conditions, but the study was terminated early after enrolling only 6 people. The goal was to see if the laser could help remodel the skin's collagen to make it look and feel more normal.
