Gentle laser tested to save sight from diabetes
NCT ID NCT07295704
Summary
This study is testing a gentle, pulsed laser treatment for diabetic macular edema, a common cause of vision loss where fluid swells the center of the eye. It will compare how well the laser works for people trying it for the first time versus those whose swelling hasn't improved with other treatments. Researchers will measure changes in vision and the thickness of the swollen area to see if this approach is effective.
