Light therapy shows promise for easing Stroke-Related stiffness

NCT ID NCT07273591

Summary

This study tested whether adding a painless, low-level laser treatment to standard physical therapy could help people who have had a stroke more than a year ago. The laser aims to reduce muscle stiffness in the ankle and improve walking. In a small trial, patients who received the laser along with physical therapy showed greater improvement in stiffness and walking quality than those who had physical therapy alone.
