Shining a light on jaw pain: can laser therapy offer relief?
NCT ID NCT07460895
Summary
This study aims to see if a treatment called photobiomodulation (PBM), which uses low-level laser light, can help reduce pain and improve jaw function in adults with myofascial temporomandibular disorder (TMD). Researchers will compare PBM alone, PBM with jaw exercises, and a placebo laser with exercises over 12 treatment sessions. The goal is to find better non-drug options for managing this common type of chronic jaw pain.
