Could a painless laser zap away gum surgery discomfort?
NCT ID NCT07308912
Summary
This study tested whether shining a special low-level laser on the roof of the mouth could help after gum graft surgery. Thirty-six healthy adults who had the surgery were randomly assigned to get the laser treatment right after surgery or just the standard care. Researchers then tracked their pain levels, how much pain medication they used, and how quickly the surgical site healed over the following days.
