Shining a light on relief: laser therapy aims to ease debilitating dry mouth for cancer survivors
NCT ID NCT05106608
Summary
This study is testing whether a treatment called photobiomodulation (a type of low-level laser light therapy) can help improve dry mouth and overall quality of life for people who have survived head and neck cancer after radiation therapy. Researchers will enroll 60 participants to see if the therapy reduces symptoms like dry mouth and swallowing problems, and if any improvements last over time. The study also uses a mobile health app to help manage treatment.
