Laser vs. surgery: new battle against returning brain tumors

NCT ID NCT07053033

First seen Mar 12, 2026 · Last updated Apr 20, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study is testing whether adding focused radiation after surgery or laser heat therapy helps control recurrent brain metastases better than surgery/laser therapy alone. Researchers will compare two approaches: one group gets additional radiation after their procedure, while the other is closely monitored without immediate additional radiation. The goal is to see which approach better prevents tumors from returning while managing side effects.
