Summary
This small early study tested a new way to treat microstomia (mouth tightening) caused by scleroderma. Three adults received three sessions of a laser followed by hyaluronidase enzyme application to loosen the skin around the mouth. The goal was to increase mouth opening for easier eating, speaking, and oral care. The study is complete, but results are not yet reported.
