First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether a laser treatment given before a Boston keratoprosthesis (a special plastic cornea implant) can help control eye pressure and prevent glaucoma damage. Twenty adults who need the cornea implant will receive one of two types of laser treatment 4 to 8 weeks before surgery. Researchers will track eye pressure, vision, and complications for up to 5 years to see which laser works better.
