Gentle laser tested to save sight from diabetes

NCT ID NCT07295704

Summary

This study is testing a gentle, pulsed laser treatment for diabetic macular edema, a common cause of vision loss where fluid swells the central part of the retina. It will compare how well the laser works for people with new cases versus cases that haven't responded well to other treatments. Researchers will measure changes in vision and retinal thickness in 50 adult participants.
