First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study looks at two ways to repair a small gap in the back of the voice box (laryngeal cleft) that causes swallowing problems in children. One method injects a gel to build up the area, the other uses stitches. About 128 children aged 1 to 10 will be randomly assigned to one procedure. The goal is to see which approach better helps them swallow safely without needing thickened liquids.
