Major trial tests less invasive surgery for stomach cancer survival
NCT ID NCT04710758
Summary
This study aims to find out if a less invasive 'keyhole' surgery (laparoscopic) is as effective as traditional open surgery for treating advanced stomach cancer. It will follow over 1,000 patients to compare their long-term survival, cancer recurrence, and recovery after surgery. The goal is to determine which surgical approach provides better overall outcomes for patients.
