Scientists map the Brain's decline in rare language disorder
NCT ID NCT00537004
Summary
This study aims to understand how the brain and language abilities change over time in people with Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA), a disorder that causes gradual loss of speech and language. Researchers will track 500 participants through cognitive tests and brain scans every two years to map the progression of the disease. The goal is to gather detailed knowledge to help develop future therapies, not to test a treatment directly.
