Could a common sugar help beat cancer?
NCT ID NCT07354100
Summary
This early-stage study is testing whether taking lactulose, a common sugar, can improve the effectiveness of immunotherapy drugs for people with advanced cancer. Researchers believe lactulose may help by changing the types of bacteria in the gut. The study will enroll about 55 adults with specific cancers who are already scheduled to receive immunotherapy.
