Gut bacteria may boost liver cancer treatment before surgery

Summary
This study looks at whether taking a probiotic (Lactobacillus reuteri) before liver cancer surgery, along with standard immunotherapy, helps patients recover better and live longer. About 40 adults with resectable liver cancer will be randomly assigned to receive the probiotic plus immunotherapy or immunotherapy alone. Researchers will track liver function, complications, and survival over two years.
