Can a fish oil supplement slow down eye disease?
NCT ID NCT05465252
Summary
This study is testing whether taking krill oil supplements for three months can help control dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a common cause of vision loss in older adults. Researchers will compare krill oil to a placebo in 24 participants with early or intermediate dry AMD. They will measure changes in tiny deposits under the retina called drusen, as well as changes in vision and quality of life.
