New pill targets 'Undruggable' cancer mutation in first human test
NCT ID NCT07207707
Summary
This is the first study in people to test KQB548, an oral pill designed to target a specific genetic change (KRAS G12D) found in some advanced solid tumors like pancreatic, colorectal, and lung cancers. The main goals are to find a safe dose, see how the body processes the drug, and check if it can shrink tumors in up to 78 patients whose cancer has worsened after standard treatments. This is an early safety study, so determining if the drug truly works will require larger future trials.
