Surgeons seek safer knee operation to protect blood vessels
NCT ID NCT05807451
Summary
This study aimed to find out which of two common knee surgery techniques is safer for nearby blood vessels. Researchers compared the 'monoplanar' and 'biplanar' methods in 40 patients with knee osteoarthritis. They used CT scans to measure the distance between the surgical cut and important leg blood vessels to see which technique kept them farther away.
