New study aims to ease knee surgery pain and cut opioid use
NCT ID NCT07526831
First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests two ways to numb the knee after surgery: one block alone versus that block plus an extra injection behind the knee. The goal is to see which method better controls pain and reduces the need for strong painkillers like morphine. About 60 adults having knee replacement will take part, and their pain and side effects will be tracked for 24 hours after surgery.
