First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tested a new approach for knee replacement surgery in 70 people with severe knee arthritis. In addition to the standard knee replacement, some patients received a nerve-freezing treatment (radio-frequency ablation) during the operation to reduce pain afterward. The goal was to see if the combination leads to less pain and better knee function after surgery compared to the standard procedure alone.
