Knee implant survival check: will the All-Plastic design hold up?
NCT ID NCT07544264
First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study will follow 78 people aged 50 to 85 who need a total knee replacement to see how long a specific implant with an all-polyethylene (plastic) tibial component lasts. Researchers will track implant failure, pain, function, and quality of life over 5 years. The goal is to confirm whether this more affordable design works as well as standard metal-backed implants.
