New pain relief method tested for knee replacement patients

NCT ID NCT03747146

Summary

This study is comparing two different ways to manage pain after knee replacement surgery. Researchers want to see if using a continuous pain medication catheter works better than a single injection at reducing opioid painkiller use. The study involves 94 patients aged 18-65 who are having knee replacement surgery at a New York hospital.
