New study aims to cut opioid use after knee surgery with simple Add-Ons

Summary
This study looks at whether adding dexamethasone or dexmedetomidine to a standard numbing medicine can improve pain control and reduce the need for strong painkillers after total knee replacement. About 96 older adults having knee surgery will be randomly assigned to one of three groups. The goal is to find a safer, more effective way to manage post-surgery pain.
