First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding a special anti-inflammatory knee sleeve (Reparel™) to a standard corticosteroid injection improves pain, mobility, and daily function in people with knee osteoarthritis. Forty adults with knee OA who chose non-surgical treatment were randomly assigned to receive either the active sleeve or a placebo sleeve after their injection. Researchers measured changes in activity, pain, and knee function over six months to see if the sleeve provided extra benefit.
