Your own fat cells to fight knee arthritis? early trial planned

NCT ID NCT05515523

Summary

This early-stage study aimed to test the safety and feasibility of a single injection of a patient's own processed fat tissue into the knee to treat arthritis that developed after a significant injury. The goal was to see if this approach could help younger, active adults with persistent knee pain who had not found relief from standard treatments like medication or physical therapy. The trial was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
