Pinhole procedure aims to zap knee arthritis pain

Summary
This study is testing if a minimally invasive procedure can relieve knee pain caused by osteoarthritis. The procedure, called genicular artery embolization (GAE), uses tiny particles to block abnormal blood flow thought to cause inflammation and pain. Researchers will compare pain relief in 100 people who either receive the GAE procedure or are observed without it for 6 months.
