Could blocking tiny arteries ease crippling knee pain?

NCT ID NCT06940479

Summary

This study is testing a procedure called genicular artery embolization (GAE) to see if it can reduce knee pain and inflammation in adults with osteoarthritis. Researchers will check if improvements in patient-reported pain scores match up with biological signs of reduced inflammation in the knee fluid. The goal is to understand if and how this procedure works to control symptoms of this chronic joint disease.
