Sand play may boost motor skills in kids with autism

Summary

This study looks at whether playing with kinetic sand can help children with autism, aged 6 to 12, improve their ability to reach for objects and coordinate their eyes and hands. Seventeen children will play with kinetic sand for 30 minutes, three times a week, for six weeks. Their progress will be measured with simple tests before and after the program.
