Surgeons test which stitch works best for kidney transplants

NCT ID NCT07274943

Summary

This study looks at two standard ways surgeons stitch the new kidney's artery to a patient's blood vessel during a living donor transplant. It will compare the interrupted stitch method to the continuous stitch method in 70 adult patients. The main goal is to see if one method leads to better early blood flow to the kidney and fewer complications in the first three months after surgery.
