NCT ID NCT07338929
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at how frailty affects people getting a kidney transplant. Researchers will use a simple physical test called the Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB) to measure frailty before and after transplant. They hope to learn if frailty scores can help predict recovery and outcomes. The study includes 50 adults on dialysis who are either eligible or not eligible for a kidney transplant.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could help doctors better predict which kidney transplant patients will recover well, leading to improved care plans.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, observational study that only measures frailty, not a treatment. It may not lead to direct changes in patient care.
