First seen Dec 31, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at how two natural compounds in food—oxalate and citrate—interact in the body and affect kidney stone risk. Researchers will give potassium citrate to 24 adults (some with a history of kidney stones, some without) and measure changes in their urine over six hours. The goal is to understand how citrate might help prevent stones, which could lead to better dietary advice.
